AZURE-G

Lead Sulphide Dissolver

There are oilfields where lead sulphide mineral scale deposits form in the vicinity of subsurface safety valves. A subsurface safety valve (sssv) is installed as a vital component of the completion  to shut in a well automatically if the wellhead equipment or other surface production equipment fails. In many industrial systems scale formation causes significant problems when it deposits on surfaces. Even a thin layer of scale can impede the smooth operation of the valve and pose serious regulatory and safety risks that require the well to be shut in and the sssv to be descaled or replaced. AZURE-G has been developed as the first effective lead sulphide dissolver which enables a scaled sssv to be quickly descaled in situ and the well to be returned to normal production.
